Brown Water

We are aware that some customers have been experiencing brown water. This was caused by the necessary use of the fire hydrant outside MBWD office for fire practice by the Mill Bay Fire Department. The MBWD Operator has since made arrangements for a different hydrant to be used that will minimize the effect on our water system. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. 

Any discolouration is temporary and not a health hazard. If you experience any discolouration in your water, it is recommended that you run a cold water tap in a bathtub for several minutes until the water runs clear.  If the problem persists, please contact our office.
